| TOUR JEKYLL ISLAND, GA |
In 1886 a group of Americas
wealthiest families purchased Jekyll Island and developed it into a private resort. A 1904
edition of Munseys Magazine referred to Jekyll Island Club as the
richest, most exclusive, the most inaccessible club in the world. For 55 years
families such as the Rockefellers, Morgans, Macys and Vanderbilts enjoyed the beauty and
seclusion of Jekyll Island. Today you will board a tram and peek into the privileged lives
of an exclusive group and a bygone era. The tour includes admission into one to two of the
homes.

decided, The Lighthouse, one of the only three working lighthouses in Georgia, Fort

Plantation where relics from the slavery era still exist and a walking tour of Christ
Church, the islands most famous landmark.
