Avenue Q

Sesame Street meets South Park: They may look familiar, but these puppets (and their human counterparts) have an irreverent take on the joys and travails of making it on your own. Singing puppets and their human neighbors tackle life's most vexing issues - including love, sex, money, race and how to tell your roommate he's gay. The place is New York City, and the street is Avenue Q, the only address you can afford when you're fresh out of college, or out of a job, or just trying to find your way in life. A new musical for grown-ups.

Beauty and the Beast

Beginning February 17, Christy Carlson Romano will star as Belle, ushering in the show's 10th anniversary this spring. It's perfect for adult audiences because she made her Broadway debut as Mary Phagan in Parade - a very grown-up show, and was named by 'Rolling Stone' as one of 'Five on the Rise' upcoming female artists.

Billy Crystal: 700 Sundays

Solo: Billy Crystal's dad, who died when the comedian was just 15, worked two or three jobs, leaving only '700 Sundays' for them to spend together. It was time well spent. The veteran funnyman explores his relationship with his father and many others in an autobiographical look at his life.

Comedian Billy Crystal takes an autobiographical look at his life and the people and events that shaped him - including his family and friends, the New York Yankees and yes, Sammy Davis Jr.

Brooklyn

Musical: Percolating with music that ranges from soul to opera, this new musical celebrates life - and the magical borough of Brooklyn.

Chitty Chitty Bang Bang

Musical: Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, the most fantasmagorical stage musical in the history of everything, makes its American premiere at Broadway's Ford Center for the Performing Arts beginning previews on Tuesday, March 29, 2005 and opening on Thursday, April 28, 2005. This stage adaptation of the internationally-known hit film of Ian Fleming's timeless story, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang features a beloved score, which includes memorable classics such as 'Truly Scrumptious', 'Toot Sweets', 'Hushabye Mountain' and the Oscar-nominated title song 'Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.'

Dame Edna: Back With a Vengence

Solo: Attention, possums: She's back! Australia's favorite daughter brings her wit, wisdom and insults to Broadway, which gave alter-ego Barry Humphries a Special Tony Award for the last production, Dame Edna: The Royal Tour.

Dame Edna, aka Barry Humphries, serves up the zingers in an interactive laugh fest. Unfettered, un-PC and unashamed, the Dame tells it like she sees it.

Democracy

A thrilling and moving tale of espionage, loyalty, unexpected betrayals and the paths we choose in life, Democracy is set in West Germany in the late 1960s--a time of hope and unlimited possibilities. The play charts the astonishing career of Willy Brandt, in his brief but remarkable tenure as Germany's first liberal leader for nearly forty years. Always present but rarely noticed is Günter Guillaume, Brandt's devoted personal assistant--and no less devoted in his other role as a double-agent, spying on Brandt for East Germany's infamous Ministry of State Security.

Glass Menagerie, The

Jessica Lange, Josh Lucas, Sarah Paulson and Dallas Roberts star in this revival of Tennessee Williams' classic memory play.

Drama: A fading Southern belle strives to give her two grown children -- the lame Laura and the unruly Tom -- a last chance at happiness as her own dreams slip through her fingers. Glengarry Glen Ross

Hairspray

Jackie Mason: Freshly Squeezed

Julius Caesar

Denzel Washington is Brutus in Shakespeare's Julius Caesar, directed by Daniel Sullivan.

Light in the Piazza, The

Based on the novella by Elizabeth Spencer.

Lion King, The

Disney's hit animated film is brought to life onstage. Julie Taymor has led a team of creative geniuses to bring this beautiful spectacle to life. With music and lyrics by Elton John & Tim Rice. Winner of 6 1998 TONY AWARDS including Best Director and Best Costume Design to Ms. Taymor. The story of a young Lion Cub who struggles with the challenges of growing into adulthood and assuming his responsibilty as King.

Little Women

Pacific Overtures

Sondheim explores the westernization of Japan in the late 1800s from a Japanese perspective. Twelve Angry Men

Edward Albee's Tony Award-winning drama (1963) stars Bill Irwin, Kathleen Turner, Mireillle Enos and David Harbour.

Drama: On a quiet New England campus, an embittered professor and his domineering wife turn an evening of no-holds-barred drinking into a wicked game. Wicked

Wicked takes a revisionist look at an American icon of evil and discovers how the young Elphaba, a passionate, committed young woman from Oz becomes the Wicked Witch of the West. Her character is contrasted with that of her school roommate Glinda, who grows up to be the Good Witch.

Wonderful Town
